About the role
SummitCare is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to join our team on a Full time basis at our residential aged care facility in Waverley.
As the Senior Leisure & Lifestyle Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful leisure and lifestyle programs that support resident well-being. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will ensure these programs promote optimal health, healthy ageing, and resident choice. With a robust customer service focus, you will tailor programs to meet the individual needs of each resident.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Completed or near completion of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, or Diversional Therapy, Occupational Therapy,
or a related discipline.
- Specialisation in aged care and leisure (for Diversional Therapists).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within the aged care or health sector.
- A current National Police Check.
- High self-motivation, passion, creativity, and innovation in enhancing residents' daily lives.
- Ability to assess residents' social, spiritual, and emotional needs, and design tailored individual leisure and lifestyle programs.
- Strong organisational and computer skills with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
