Aldebaran Contracting is seeking a motivated and organised Storeperson / Maintenance Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of our workshop and maintenance department through inventory control, procurement, administration, and coordination of maintenance activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of hands-on store duties and office-based administration within a fast-paced civil construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage workshop and maintenance stores inventory
- Receive, inspect, and issue parts, consumables, and equipment
- Maintain stock levels and organise replenishment of parts and supplies
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate procurement activities
- Process deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist with scheduling plant and equipment servicing and maintenance
- Maintain maintenance records, service schedules, and compliance documentation
- Liaise with suppliers, workshop personnel, and project teams
- Assist with asset tracking and workshop administration
- Support the maintenance team with general administrative tasks
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, maintenance administration, or workshop support role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with inventory management systems highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Current driver's licence
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
