Registered Nurses — pick up hospital shifts on your terms

Contract Care is a Sydney healthcare staffing agency. We started in aged care in 2022 and now support aged care, NDIS and hospital clients across Australia.

We're expanding our hospital desk and we're looking for Registered Nurses who want agency shifts across Sydney.

The work

Ward-based agency shifts across our Sydney hospital clients. Depending on your experience, that can include medical and surgical wards, rehabilitation, oncology, palliative care, ED, ICU and HDU, maternity, paediatrics and mental health.

There's also a steady run of specialling and 1:1 patient observation if that suits you.

A lot of hospital work comes up at short notice, so if you like picking up extra at the last minute there's plenty of it. Equally, if you only want one or two planned shifts a week, that works too. You tell us your availability and we work to it.

What you'll need

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with no restrictions or conditions

- Australian working rights





- Recent Australian hospital experience

- Evidence of immunisation — hepatitis B, MMR, varicella and dTpa — plus TB screening where it applies

- Current hand hygiene, manual handling and infection control training

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (we can point you in the right direction if you don't hold one yet)

- A Working With Children Check if you'd like paediatric shifts

If you're missing a certificate or two, tell us some of them are free and take an hour, and we'd rather help you get there than pass you over.
