Our Purpose and Mission
Hi Thrive is a mobile paediatric allied health service based in the western suburbs of Melbourne. We bring neurodiversity-affirming speech pathology and occupational therapy to children in the places they feel most comfortable. Our mission is straightforward: support children to thrive, and support therapists to thrive while doing it.

The Role
We're looking for an experienced paediatric speech pathologist with strong skills in complex disability, AAC, and supporting autistic children with high support needs. You'll work across the City of Wyndham and Melton, where demand for this work is high and families are waiting. This is an independent contractor role (ABN required).

This role suits a clinician who is reliable, self-directed, and genuinely wants a full, steady caseload. You set the terms. Once you've set them, we fill them.

A full caseload, on your terms
There are families in the west waiting for therapists with your skills. You tell us when you want to work and who you love working with, and we'll keep your diary full. No chasing leads, no marketing yourself, no gaps you didn't choose.

In return, we're looking for someone who shows up for the families they commit to, keeps on top of their own admin, and takes pride in doing the work well. If you're the kind of clinician who just gets on with it, you'll love it here.

Pay
We believe skilled clinicians should be paid well for their expertise, so we pay per client-facing hour at rates that reflect it. You decide how many clients you see each week.

Rates:

• $116-135 per hour (superannuation included).
• Complex caseload (complex disability, AAC,



autism with high support needs): guaranteed $135 per hour (superannuation included).

To give you a sense of what this means in real life:

• To earn approximately $80,000 per year, you’d only need to see around 11 clients per week.
• This assumes 48 weeks of work per year (allowing for leave or downtime).
• That’s less than three days of work per week

This model allows you to earn well, work sustainably, and maintain boundaries that support your wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor/Masters in Speech Pathology

- Minimum of two years experience as a paediatric speech pathologist

- Availability to work in the outer western suburbs of Melbourne

- Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia

- WWCC

- Driver’s licence and car

- Demonstrated experience with complex disability, AAC,



and autistic children with high support needs

- Demonstrated ability to work independently

Highly valued

- Fluency in a community language spoken in the west, such as Punjabi, Hindi, Vietnamese, Gujarati, Tamil or Urdu

- Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse families

- Lived experience of neurodivergence

About the Director
Hi, I’m Cristina, the founder and director of Hi Thrive. I’m a neurodivergent speech pathologist who started this practice after burning out in traditional private practice settings. I created Hi Thrive because I wanted a workplace where therapists could actually enjoy their lives, feel supported, and do brilliant clinical work without sacrificing their wellbeing.

Hi Thrive began as a tiny one-woman mobile practice, built on a simple belief: therapists thrive when they are trusted, respected, and given the freedom to work in ways that suit their brains and their lives. That’s still the heart of this business today.

I also believe freedom works best alongside high standards. Families trust us with their children, and I look for clinicians who take that seriously.
