Monday Market Pty Ltd is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and reliable Retail Assistant to join our friendly team at our preloved market on The Parade, Norwood.
This is a casual position with 3 shifts every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, working full-day shifts. The role would suit a mature person with previous retail or customer service experience who enjoys working independently and being part of a community-focused business.
What you'll be doing
- Providing exceptional customer service and giving every customer a warm welcome
- Assisting our stallholders with rack bookings, printing price tags and processing sales
- Keeping the store organised, tidy and looking its best throughout the day
- Creating regular social media posts featuring new clothing and items arriving in store
- Using Facebook and Instagram to promote current arrivals and what's happening in store
- Processing cash and card transactions accurately
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Helping with the day-to-day operations of our busy preloved market
What we're looking for
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using Facebook and Instagram
- Good computer skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and confidently on your own
- Reliable,
friendly and well presented
- A genuine interest in fashion, sustainability and preloved goods
