Job Description – Dental Nurse / Receptionist All-Rounder

Dental Nursing Duties

n

YOU MUST HAVE DENTAL NURSING EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED-

n

Assist the dentist during all clinical procedures.
n
Prepare and set up treatment rooms before and between patients.
n
Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
n
Follow infection control and workplace health and safety procedures.
n
Prepare materials and equipment for dental procedures.
n
Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked surgery.
n
Provide a high standard of patient care and comfort.
n
Assist with maintaining accurate clinical records.
n
Liaise with the dentist and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow.
n

Reception Duties (when scheduled)Sus

Greet patients in a friendly and qualified manner.
n
Answer and manage incoming phone calls and enquiries.
n
Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments.
n
Manage patient recalls and follow-ups.
n
Process payments and assist with health fund enquiries.
n
Maintain accurate patient records.
n
Manage emails and general correspondence.
n




Handle patient enquiries professionally and efficiently.
n
Assist with general administration and reception duties.
n
Maintain a welcoming and organised reception area.
n

General All-Rounder Responsibilities

Move confidently between reception and dental assisting duties as required.
n
Work efficiently in a busy dental practice.
n
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
n
Support the dentist and wider team wherever needed.
n
Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
n
Be proactive and identify tasks that need to be completed without being asked.
n
Contribute positively to a friendly and supportive team workplace.
n
Maintain excellent standards of patient service and care.
n
Assist with stock control and ordering when required.
n
Help ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently each day.
