Job Description- Technical Developer – API Integration & Layer 7 Gateway Remediation Role Title: Technical Developer – API's / Layer 7 Gateway Experience: 5+ Years Location: Melbourne Engagement Type: Contract Duration: 6 months Project Background Customer is undertaking a remediation project to build a recent API server on Layer 7, as part of the SWEG/Layer 7 remediation program. This involves migrating off the existing gateway and standing up recent infrastructure to support the organisation's API integrations going forward.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build a recent API server on the Layer 7 platform.

Implement authentication for the new API environment using Azure Entra ID.

Understand, document, and explain how existing and new APIs work.

Enable and configure the underlying infrastructure required to build and support the API server.





Define and manage application-level rules and integrations, including connections to platforms such as Salesforce.

Support the broader SWEG/Layer 7 remediation program, assisting with migration off the legacy gateway.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Technical Developer working with API's.

Hands-on experience with Layer 7 API Gateway (Broadcom/CA API Gateway).

Experience building API infrastructure/servers from the ground up.

Solid understanding of API architecture and how APIs function end-to-end.

Experience configuring application integration rules with enterprise platforms (e.g. Salesforce).

Comfortable working onsite full-time in Melbourne for the duration of the engagement.
