Reports To: Dispatch Manager / Warehouse Supervisor
Position Overview The Casual Delivery Driver is responsible for the secure, accurate, and timely delivery of goods to customers. This role operates on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility with start times and routes.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles to complete scheduled delivery runs
Load and unload goods in a safe and effective manner
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately according to invoices and run sheets
Conduct pre-start vehicle checks and report any faults or damage
Secure loads correctly to prevent damage during transport
Provide professional and courteous service to customers
Obtain delivery confirmations/signatures where required
Follow all road rules, company policies, and WH&S; procedures
Communicate delays, incidents, or issues to the dispatch team promptly
Requirements & Skills
Valid Australian Full Driver Licence (appropriate class for vehicle)
Clean driving record
Good knowledge of local delivery areas (preferred)
Ability to work adaptable rostered hours, including early starts
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Good communication and customer service skills
Additional Requirements
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing (if applicable)
Forklift licence (LF) highly regarded but not essential
