About the Role
BlueFlyer are seeking suitably skilled/qualified person(s) to fill the role of Copywriting / Editor.
This is a non-ongoing contracted opportunity offered with an initial term start in mid-October through to December 2026, and an opportunity to extend up to a further 12-months. It requires the individual to work alongside our client - working from the client's Brindabella Park offices, and using the client's ICT systems.
The services to be delivered involve editorial services of a 70-page strategic plan (one copy edit of the final manuscript in MS Word, and two verification edits of subsequent designed PDF proofs) to a 'publication ready' state.
A current Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance is required to enable immediate start.
Skills,
Experience and Qualifications
Excellent copywriting and editing skills - with
Ability to interpret complex information (e.g., policy, risk, governance, analytics) and translate it into accessible written content tailored to diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated attention to detail, including grammar, formatting, and adherence to style guides, templates, and consistency of content/ambiguity.
Experience delivering same or similar within a law enforcement, national security, or Federal Government setting is highly desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and subject-matter experts in office.
Proficiency in common office and document tools (e.g., Microsoft Word with Tracked Changes).
Qualifications in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience highly regarded.
Ability to work and deliver to deadline.
