Excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and growing precision engineering company located in Melbourne's North-West.
This well-established business specialises in the manufacture of high-precision tooling, injection mould tooling, polyurethane tooling and specialist engineered components. Due to continued growth and investment in recent equipment, they are seeking an experienced Mastercam Programmer / CNC Machinist to join their team.
This is a true hands-on machining position where you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC milling machines while working on a variety of custom and small batch work.
The company has recently invested in recent Mazak machinery and is moving into a brand-new facility, making this an excellent time to join a growing and progressive business.
Duties will include:
Programming CNC milling machines using Mastercam
Setting and operating Mazak CNC machining centres
Producing one-off and small batch precision components
Working from engineering drawings through to finished product
Tool selection, setup and process optimisation
Working in a toolroom and jobbing shop environment
Assisting with continuous improvement of machining processes
Using Mastercam and SolidWorks software
TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
Mastercam programming experience
Mazak CNC milling experience
Ability to set and operate CNC machining centres
Experience producing precision components
Toolroom or jobbing shop background
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
This is a permanent full-time position offering excellent working conditions, long-term job security and an outstanding hourly rate.
The successful applicant will receive:
$55 - $60 per hour (depending on experience)
Day shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm
12:00 noon finish every Friday
Brand-new facility
