Our client, a global bank, is seeking a motivatedFinance Analystto join their Finance & Administration department. This is a great prospect for an early-career finance professional to gain broad exposure across month-end close, regulatory and Head Office reporting support, accounts payable, and cross-functional finance projects within a global banking workplace.

About the Role

Reporting into the Finance team, you will support the month-end close process, assist with reconciliations and reporting working files, maintain financial data, and contribute to process improvement and ad hoc projects across the department.

Key Responsibilities
Support month-end close to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
Prepare month-end reconciliations and assist with daily reconciliations and checks
Prepare working files to support regulatory and Head Office reporting
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets
Assist with processing invoices and reconciling vendor accounts
Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes




Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data
Participate in process efficiency reviews and ad hoc projects, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Support budgeting processes through data gathering and analysis
Assist in preparing information for internal and external audits

About You

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CA/CPA/CFA a plus)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Skills & Attributes
Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data, resolve discrepancies and provide actionable insights
Capable of handling complex data and solving problems independently
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial records
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

This is a well-paying 12-month contract position, paying up to 130k Including super, depending onprior experience.
