HMR Precision Engineering is looking for a keen and motivated Apprentice Fitter and Turner / Machinist to join our skilled team in Clontarf, Brisbane.
About the Role:
As an apprentice, you’ll gain practical, on-the-job experience while working closely with the owner, being mentored in a fully equipped workshop environment. This is an exciting prospect to kickstart your career in a well-established precision engineering business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Operating manual & CNC lathes and milling machines
Repairing and servicing hydraulic cylinders and components
General fabrication and welding tasks
Learning CAD/CAM software
Maintenance on workshop machinery
Packing orders and unloading deliveries
Driving a forklift (or willing to learn)
Assisting tradesmen with machining and fitting tasks
Workshop housekeeping and general duties

Enthusiastic and motivated to learn the trade of fitting and turning
Mechanically minded with a strong interest in engineering
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Willingness to commit to an apprenticeship and TAFE training
