Northern Hearts Queensland are currently looking for an experienced receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. This role will see you managing a very busy front desk reception and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly professional manner.

Key responsibilities

Reception, welcoming and processing patients
n
Scheduling and managing patient appointments
n
Managing telephone enquiries
n
Preparation and distribution of medical correspondence to referring medical providers
n
Preparation of patient files and assistance with preparation of consultants' clinics
n
Handling of cash, credit cards, Eftpos including settlement at the end of each day
n
Management of all patient data and correspondence
n
Managing of private billings, Medicare & DVA claims
n
Processing incoming and outgoing mail and emails
n

About you

Experience working in a medical background
n
Prior knowledge with Genie would be an advantage
n
A professional,



patient and courteous manner
n
Excellent articulation and telephone manner
n
High level of personal presentation and professionalism
n
Solid multitasking capabilities
n
Strong customer service skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
n
Show initiative and work productively within a team environment
n
The ability to liaise with patients and their families, other health professionals and fellow staff in a calm and professional manner
n
Flexibility in time and task performance
n
A friendly and enthusiastic attitude
n
Positive attitude towards work and maintain a good work ethic
