Job Description

We are a well-established CPA firm based in the centre of Parramatta, providing a comprehensive range of business advisory, taxation, accounting and finance services, seeking an enthusiastic Junior/Intermediate Accountant with long term aspirations to join our team.

Working closely within a small team, you will be involved in a broad range of accounting, taxation and finance matters. As the role develops, you will gain exposure to more complex work, including client restructures, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), together with increased client interaction and responsibility.

Key responsibilities

Preparing Business Activity Statements
n
Preparing Income Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships and companies
n
Preparing financial statements and associated compliance work
n
Assisting with a range of accounting, taxation and finance matters
n
Liaising with clients and responding to their accounting and taxation needs
n
Working both independently and collaboratively as part of the wider team
n

Essential skills and attributes

n

n
Relevant experience in public practice accounting
n
Experience preparing Business Activity Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships and companies
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Robust customer service skills and a client-focused approach
n
A bright, outgoing and confident personality
n
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
Experience using MYOB and Xero Client Accounting Software
n
Experience using MYOB AE Practice Software
n
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
