About the Role
As a Locum Mental Health Nurse, you'll work within supportive multidisciplinary teams across a range of services, including:
Acute Mental Health Units
Community Mental Health Services
Crisis Assessment & Treatment Teams
Rural and Remote Health Services
Adult, Older Persons, and Child & Youth Mental Health Programs
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
Deliver recovery-focused and trauma-informed care
Support consumers experiencing acute and ongoing mental health challenges
Administer and monitor medications safely
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans
Essential Requirements
Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
Recent Mental Health Nursing experience
Strong communication and assessment skills
Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams
Current National Police Check and relevant clearances
