An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Sous Chef to join our leadership team.

We're looking for a hands‐on hospitality skilled who leads from the front, thrives in a fast‐paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while developing high‐performing teams.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll assist with overseeing the day‐to‐day operation of the entire kitchen, ensuring outstanding food quality at all times, while maintaining costs and brand standards.
n
You'll lead, coach and inspire the team, manage busy service periods with confidence and take ownership of the kitchen in the absence of Head Chef.

Strong people leadership and team development skills

Exceptional presentation, communication, time management, attention to detail, and flair for creativity.
n
Managing Labor and Food Costs.
n
To ensure all working areas of the kitchen , dry stores and refrigeration are always maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
n
Ensure the correct implementation and ongoing compliance with Café del Mar WH&S; processes.
n
Assisting with creating new menu offerings where required.
n
Admin duties when required to assist the Head Chef. (Stock control, ordering, rostering)
n
A calm, organised and professional approach under pressure
n
Current NSW Food Safety Handlers Certificate
n
Full Australian working rights

Availability to work days / evenings, weekends and public holidays
