A.B. Paterson College is inviting Expressions of Interest from passionate and dedicated Learning Assistants to join our thriving Junior School community in ****.
Working alongside teachers, you will play an important role in supporting student learning, wellbeing and engagement while contributing to a positive and inclusive educational experience for every child.
As a member of our Junior School team, you will support classroom learning, assist with the preparation of resources and work collaboratively with teachers to help students achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities
Support teachers in the delivery of learning programs and classroom activities.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of learning resources and classroom materials.
Provide academic, social and emotional support to students in a positive and inclusive learning workplace.
Support students with diverse learning needs, including the implementation of individual adjustments and learning support strategies.
Assist with behaviour support and pastoral care initiatives in collaboration with teachers and College staff.
Contribute to a safe,



caring and supportive College community where every student is known, valued and supported.

What We're Looking For:
A passion for supporting children and helping them achieve positive educational outcomes.
Certificate III in Education Support (or higher).
Current Blue Card or Queensland College of Teachers registration.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion and child safety.
