The Role
n
As a Licensed Customs Broker, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant clearance of import and export shipments while providing high-level service to clients.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and lodge import/export declarations via EDI
n
Apply accurate tariff classifications and determine customs value and origin
n
Assess Free Trade Agreement (FTA) eligibility and applicable concessions
n
Calculate duties, GST, and applicable charges
n
Liaise with Australian Border Force (ABF), freight forwarders, shipping lines, and biosecurity authorities
n
Maintain, complete and audit-ready documentation
n
Provide technical advice and guidance to clients
n

The Role

About You
n
n
Licensed Australian Customs Broker
n
Proven experience within a freight forwarding or customs brokerage environment
n
Strong knowledge of Australian customs legislation and compliance requirements
n
Experience using EDI systems and CargoWise (highly regarded)
n
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
n
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
n
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
n
