At our renowned Cancer Care Noosa (WHO) site, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our experienced oncology nursing team.
n
Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients receiving specialist haematology and oncology treatment. We are looking for a Registered Nurse with recent experience in medical haematology and/or medical oncology preferred who is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.
n
This is a 0.4 FTE permanent part-time opportunity (days flexible - preferred Tuesday & Wednesday), ideal for an experienced nurse seeking a part-time position within specialist cancer care. There is the opportunity for additional hours to cover leave and peak periods.

Key Responsibilities
n

Practice in accordance with QLD Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
n
Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.
n
Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.
n
Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.
n




Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills
n
n
Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
n
Recent medical haematology and/or oncology experience.
n
Radiation Therapy experience.
n
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy for patients and their caregivers.
n
Strong clinical and problem-solving abilities.
n
Effective care planning and coordination skills.
n
Dedication to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
n
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
n
Experience administering Cytotoxic chemotherapy and related cancer treatments including ADAC chemotherapy competency
n
Competency in PORT, IV Cannulation, and Phlebotomy.
n
