About the Role

Position Title: Physiotherapist Assistant

Reporting To: Physiotherapist Lead
n
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday AM shifts.
n
As a Physiotherapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing protected, evidence-based, person-centered care consistent with the ABH's Mission and Values.

Key Responsibilities Include:
n
n
Assisting in the safe and effective implementation of individual and group exercise programs developed by the physiotherapist to maintain residents' independence and functional mobility.
n
Obtaining resident feedback,



monitoring progress, and keeping the Physiotherapist informed to update care plans.
n
Implementing pain management programs in a safe and effective manner as directed by the Physiotherapist.
n
Interacting with residents in a kind, caring, and respectful way, ensuring they are treated with dignity and supported to maintain their identity and independence.
n
Complying with the Aged Care Act **** and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards *****).
n

What We're Looking For
n
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
n
n
Understanding of the needs of the elderly.
n
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
n
Understanding and ability to apply safe work practices and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
n
Basic computer literacy and good verbal/written English communication skills.
n
Experience in a similar role assisting the elderly or disabled.
n
Dementia-specific knowledge or training.
n
n
Qualifications, Licenses & Registrations
n
n
Relevant Certificate IV or higher in Allied Health Assistance, Massage or equivalent.
n
First Aid Certificate.
n
National Police Check and evidence of legal entitlement to work in Australia.
n
