Position: Electrical Fitter Mechanic

Maxima's Recruitment Services team are on the hunt for a well presented, highly experienced Electrical Fitter Mechanic for a position working with a well-known Local Council based out of Loganholme.
n
This position will see you working as part of the road and water infrastructure team assisting the mechanical and electrical supervisor in the areas of electrical, switchboard, instrument and telemetry/SCADA systems of the wastewater treatment plant installations.

Key Responsibilities:

n
Maintenance and repair of electrical, instrument and telemetry/SCADA assets including switchboards, VSD's and pumping equipment associated with waste water treatment plants
n
Provide information needed in preparation of relevant budget submissions
n
Assist the Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor (Treatment) in enhancing the operational capability of Council's Water's treatment facilities by proactive maintenance of electrical, switchboards, instrumentation, and telemetry/SCADA systems assets
n
Contribute in coordinating all stages of work (related to Electrical, Pumping, Instrumentation and Telemetry/SCADA)
carried out by outside contractors and suppliers of goods and services to the Section
n
Complete all necessary documentation in relation to Council's computerised programs for maintenance and other relevant purposes
n
Maintain tools and equipment used in positive condition

About You:
n
n
Trade qualifications as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic are essential with Licensed Instrumentation Technician qualifications being an advantage
n
Electrical Test and Tagging License
n
Current "C" class drivers license
n
White card
n
Experience in electrical, switchboard, instrumentation and telemetry/SCADA systems (preferably in the water and sewerage maintenance environment) with training and experience in programming of PLC's and telemetry/SCADA systems is an advantage
n
Proven knowledge of trouble shooting, operation and maintenance of pumping equipment, electrical, switchboards, instrumentation and telemetry/SCADA installations of water and wastewater systems
n
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to co-ordinate planned maintenance programs
n
Computer literacy, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare reports
