MetWest Surgical is licensed by the NSW Department of Health and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). We have 1 operating theatre utilising the latest state-of-the-art equipment together with a 1 bed first-stage recovery unit and a 1-recliner chair second-stage recovery unit.

About the Role:
n
We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Registered Nurses experience in Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics to join our dedicated team at MetWest Surgical on a casual basis.
n
Reporting to the CEO, you will play a key role in providing safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures.
n

Essential Skills and Experience:
n
n
Proven experience in the scrub/scout and anaesthetics, admission, recovery, and discharge of patients undergoing IV sedation.
n
Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
n
Ability to deliver high‐quality nursing care in a day surgery workplace, performing scrub/scout RN duties as required.
n
Keen attention to detail, with the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
n
Exceptional interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues to support patient care.
n
Flexibility to adapt to changes in rostering to meet facility requirements.
n
Active participation in Quality Improvement activities.
n
n
Mandatory Requirements:
n
n
Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration with AHPRA.
n
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Perioperative nursing, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills.
n
Previous ophthalmology experience is desirable but not essential.
n
