Jackson Trade Services is a growing commercial plumbing company delivering hydraulic, drainage, fire service and trade waste installations across South East Queensland.

We're looking for a motivated Junior Estimator to join our team and learn how commercial plumbing projects come together—from reviewing drawings and measuring quantities to preparing competitive tenders.
n
This is an prospect for someone starting their career in estimating, or someone with plumbing or construction experience looking to move into an office-based role.
n
About the Role
n
Working alongside our estimating and project teams, you'll develop practical skills in pricing commercial plumbing projects and supporting the tender process.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Assisting with the preparation of estimates, quotes and tender submissions.
n
Reviewing project drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
n
Completing quantity take-offs for pipework, fixtures, fittings and other materials.
n
Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
n
Helping calculate material, labour and equipment costs.
n
Identifying missing information and assisting with tender queries.
n
Maintaining pricing records, estimating spreadsheets and tender documentation.
n
Assisting with project handovers so the delivery team understands the priced scope.

What We're Looking For
n
We're looking for someone who is willing to learn, asks questions and takes pride in getting the details right.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.
n
Good organisation and the ability to work towards deadlines.
n
Clear communication skills and a proactive attitude.
n
Confidence using Microsoft Excel and learning new software.
n
Preferred but not essential knowledge in Simpro, Groundplan and Procore.
n
An interest in commercial plumbing and construction.
n
A willingness to work collaboratively and build your technical knowledge.
n
Previous plumbing, construction, estimating or drafting experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. Relevant study in construction management, building or estimating is also welcomed.
