Speech Pathologist (Mental Health - Continuing Care Team)
This position will provide integrated and evidence-based, consumer centred speech pathology services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to optimise psycho-social outcomes for children and young people with severe and complex mental health programs and disorders, and their families and carers.

An opportunity has become available for a Speech Pathologist (Child and Youth Mental Health -Continuing Care Team)to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our ******-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Manage the designated caseload to deliver professional level speech pathology services
Provide competent speech pathology services in the assessment and treatment of children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems and disorders
Work cooperatively and effectively within departmental and multidisciplinary teams and with patients and their carers to provide high quality care
Collaborate with senior staff, to participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of group programs for consumers that are evidence-based, appropriate for consumers in the community
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening,



to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

The Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) Continuing Care Team (CCT) is a multi‐disciplinary, multispecialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multi‐specialty mental health intervention to children and young people (0- 18 years).
