We are looking for a Fire Door Technician to join our team.
n
We are open to either an experienced Fire Door Technician looking for their next long-term role, or a junior / tradesperson looking to learn the fire door industry.
n
For the right junior, no previous fire door experience is required. We are happy to provide training to someone who is reliable, hands-on and willing to learn.
n
The Role
n
Our work is predominantly fire door supply, installation, replacement and rectification across Sydney.
n
Your day-to-day work may include:
n
n
Installation and replacement of fire doors
n
Installation of fire-rated door frames
n
Fitting door hardware including locks, closers and associated components
n
Fire door repairs and rectification works
n
Measuring and preparing doors for installation
n
Reading job sheets, plans and specifications
n
Working across a variety of commercial sites throughout Sydney
n
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site presentation
n
Collecting materials from warehouse/office
n
n
Experienced Applicants
n
For an experienced applicant, we are looking for someone who:
n
n
Has previous fire door, door installation, carpentry or passive fire experience
n
Is confident installing doors, frames and hardware
n
Can work independently and manage their own jobs
n
Has strong attention to detail
n
Can problem-solve on site
n
Takes pride in their workmanship
n




Is reliable and communicates well with clients and the team
n
n
Relevant fire protection qualifications and experience will be highly regarded.
n
Junior Applicants
n
We are also interested in hearing from someone looking to build a career in the industry.
n
You don't need to already be a fire door technician. We're more interested in finding someone who:
n
n
Is reliable and turns up on time
n
Is willing to learn
n
Enjoys hands-on work
n
Has a good attitude and work ethic
n
Is comfortable using tools
n
Can follow instructions and work as part of a team
n
Wants to develop a trade-based skill set and build a long-term career
n
n
Previous construction, carpentry, labouring or trade experience would be an advantage but isn't essential.

Requirements

Current Australian driver's licence
n
Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one
n
Ability to work across Sydney
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Professional and respectful attitude on site
n
Experience on Tradify and Uptick
n
n
What We Offer

Competitive salary based on experience

Experienced technicians: approximately $90,000–$110,000 + super
n
Junior applicants: salary based on age and experience
