The Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Station Manager to lead our small but passionate team.
You will oversee day-to-day station operations, drive content strategy, support staff and volunteers, and ensure compliance with technical and licensing standards.
This is a hands‐on role perfect for someone who lives and breathes community media and wants to uplift Indigenous voices.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Managing daily operations and broadcast quality
Supervising and mentoring staff and volunteers




Developing culturally relevant programming schedules
Handling budgeting, funding/grant applications, and sponsorships
Engaging with community stakeholders and promoting station initiatives
Leading strategic planning and technical oversight
Representing 4K1G at community events and board meetings
Has previous experience in radio or media but not essential.
Training and support provided.
Understands Indigenous culture, values, and community needs
Is a natural leader with strong organizational and people skills
Can write funding submissions and manage budgets
Demonstrate solid communication and administration skills
Maintain a respectful and collaborative relationship with Board of Directors, ensuring station operations align with the Organizational strategic direction
Is passionate about community media and storytelling
