Job Description
Anila Recruitment is a specialist talent agency supporting the Early Years and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) sector.
We partner with purpose-driven organisations committed to delivering excellence for children, families, and communities.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Room Leader to join a highly regarded Not-for-Profit organisation at their community-focused Early Learning service located near Marsden Park, NSW.
The service is a 110-place centre comprising four rooms, providing a supportive and inclusive environment where educators are encouraged to build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.
As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of your room, working closely with your team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
You will lead programming and documentation, support children's development and wellbeing, and build robust partnerships with families.

Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of your allocated room
Lead, mentor and support educators within the room
Develop and implement a high-quality educational program aligned with the EYLF, NQS and service philosophy
Plan engaging, play-based and intentional learning experiences
Support children's learning, development, wellbeing and school readiness
Complete observations, documentation and learning assessments to a high standard
Build strong, respectful and meaningful relationships with children and families
Work collaboratively with families to support children's individual learning and development
Create an inclusive, engaging and emotionally safe learning environment
Support children with additional developmental, behavioural or social needs
Ensure children's individual needs, interests and strengths are reflected in the program
You will ideally have:
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
Previous experience as a Room Leader or strong experience ready to step into leadership
Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
Excellent understanding of child development and play-based learning
Strong programming, documentation and observation skills
Confidence mentoring and supporting other educators
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
A positive, collaborative and team-focused approach
A commitment to inclusion, child safety and high-quality outcomes
