About the role
n
We are seeking an experienced Farm Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the maintenance, reliability and day-to-day upkeep of our client's 4,060-acre regenerative macadamia orchard.
n
Reporting to the Orchard Manager, you will be responsible for the proactive maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of the farm's machinery, equipment and property infrastructure.
n
You will work across the workshop and broader property, supporting both preventative maintenance and urgent breakdowns, while also assisting with seasonal farm activities and property improvement projects.

More specifically, your duties include:
n

Maintaining and servicing tractors, implements, side‐by‐side , utes and equipment
n
Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and downtime
n
Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment as required
n
Maintaining fencing, gates, sheds, and other property infrastructure
n
Undertaking in‐field repairs to machinery and implements
n
Supporting grounds maintenance including slashing, mowing and spraying
n
Maintaining pumps and basic 12‐volt solar infrastructure
n
Coordinating and supervising external contractors for specialist works
n
Managing workshop tools,



spare parts and maintenance supplies
n
Maintaining protected, organised and compliant workshop facilities
n

About you
n
We are seeking a proactive, self‐motivated maintenance professional who possesses a genuine pride in keeping agricultural assets in optimal condition.
n
n
3+ years' relevant experience in farm, agricultural, fleet, mechanical or industrial maintenance
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and a practical, solutions‐focused approach
n
Experience maintaining tractors, implements and agricultural machinery
n
The ability to work autonomously and effectively prioritise competing demands
n
Experience coordinating contractors and managing preventative maintenance
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to maintenance records and stock
n
A relevant trade qualification such as Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician or Fitter and Turner is highly regarded
n
Experience with irrigation pumps and basic 12‐volt solar systems is desirable
n
First Aid and WHS qualifications are desirable
n
n
The property is located in Como, approximately 30 minutes from Noosa and Gympie, with easy access to essential services in Pomona and Cooroy.
