Senior Finance Business Partner - Institutional Banking

As a Senior Finance Business Partner – Institutional Banking, you will play a key role in providing commercial finance support, performance insight and decision support to senior business stakeholders.
n
Working within a collaborative Finance team, the role will have a particular focus on business performance, forecasting, commercial analysis and strategic decision support, helping translate complex financial drivers into transparent insights, recommendations and actions.
n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
Acting as a senior Finance partner to Institutional Banking leadership and senior stakeholders
n
Providing commercial insight across revenue, costs, balance sheet, funding, capital, investments and returns
n
Supporting actuals, forecasting and planning cycles, providing clear analysis of key drivers, risks and opportunities
n
Developing clear performance narratives and recommendations to support senior decision-making
n
Challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities to improve financial and commercial performance
n
Providing financial analysis across investment decisions, change initiatives and business cases
n
Working closely with Planning, Treasury, Risk, Financial Control and other Finance teams
n
Coordinating Finance inputs and ensuring clear ownership across complex stakeholder groups
n
Driving improvements to Finance processes, ways of working and the quality of management information
n
n

The Candidate
n
The ideal candidate will bring:
n
n
Strong Finance Business Partnering, commercial finance or performance management experience
n
Experience within banking
n
Strong understanding of forecasting, planning, financial performance and decision support
n
Exposure to
Institutional/Corporate
Banking would be highly regarded
n
An appropriate Finance qualification, CA/CPA
n
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to understand and challenge key financial drivers
n
Confidence operating with senior and executive-level stakeholders
n
The ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights and recommendations
n
Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
n
A collaborative, hands‐on approach with the ability to operate across multiple priorities
