The Workplace and Sustainability Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the organisation's commitment to sustainable practices within the engineering sector. Based in Sutherland or our city office this permanent, full-time position requires a proactive individual to develop and implement strategies that enhance environmental performance and compliance, ensuring that the company meets its sustainability goals while adhering to local regulations.

What You'll Be Doing
n
As part of the HASLIN team, you'll help deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest environmental and quality standards. You will:
n

Develop, implement and maintain environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives.
n
Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
n
Collaborate with engineering and pre-contracts teams to integrate sustainable practices into project designs and tenders.
n
Monitor and report on environmental and sustainability performance metrics and progress towards goals.
n
Engage with stakeholders, including local communities and regulatory bodies, to promote environmental and sustainability initiatives.
n




Provide training and support to staff members and the wider team on environmental policies and practices.
n
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to environmental sustainability.
n

About You
n
You're someone who enjoys solving problems, leading people and delivering projects that make a difference. You'll bring:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
n
Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental management or sustainability roles, preferably within the engineering sector.
n
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
n
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
n
Certifications in environmental management (e.g., ISO *****) are advantageous.
