About the Role
n
This is a hands-on role within our busy steel yard and dispatch environment. You'll be responsible for safely operating our 6-direction overhead crane to move, load and unload structural steel and building materials, ensuring orders are handled efficiently and ready for dispatch.
n
Successful candidates will undergo formal training to operate the crane; however, previous experience is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Safely operating overhead cranes to move and position structural steel and building materials
n
Loading and unloading trucks using cranes and other yard equipment
n




Preparing and positioning steel orders for dispatch
n
Ensuring materials are handled safely to prevent damage
n
Assisting with general yard and warehouse duties as required
n
Maintaining a clean, compliant and organised worksite
n
Following all safety procedures and site requirements
n
Supporting the wider operations and dispatch team as required
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Previous crane operating experience – Desirable
n
Relevant crane licence/ticket – Desirable
n
Current Driver's Licence – Essential
n
Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar steel yard, warehouse or manufacturing environment
n
Experience handling structural steel or long/heavy materials highly regarded
n
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
n
Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy yard environment
n
Reliable, punctual and team-oriented
n
