Outstanding Energy is seeking expressions of interest from an experienced Power Station Operator (Electrical) to join our growing operations team. This is a full-time FIFO role on a 2/2 roster, supporting critical power infrastructure across the resources and utilities sectors.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Power Station Supervisor, you will be responsible for the secure, reliable, and effective operation of power station assets, ensuring uninterrupted supply to critical plant and services.
n
Key duties include:
n
n
Operating power generation plant to maintain reliable electrical supply
n
Optimising thermal efficiency while minimising supply risk
n
Completing daily operational readings, reporting, and data analysis
n
Routine maintenance and minor repairs on power station plant
n
Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems
n
Compliance with KPI targets, safety systems, permits, and procedures
n
Identifying and implementing safety and reliability improvements
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n




5+ years' experience in power station operations & maintenance highly desirable but not essential
n
Strong electrical system fault-finding skills
n
Experience with power generation systems and equipment
n
Ability to work FIFO in remote locations
n
Experience with SAP maintenance systems highly desirable
n
Strong safety focus, including PTW systems, JSAs, Take 5s
n
Gas and steam turbine experience highly desirable
n

Qualifications
n
Essential:
n
n
QLD Electrical Fitter / Electrical Mechanic Licence
n
Unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
n
n
Desirable (training supported if required):
n
n
High Risk Work Licence (LF, WP)
n
BA – Advanced Boiler Operation
n
TO – Turbine Operation
n
Certificate III in Instrumentation & Control
n
EEHA
n
High Voltage Switching
n
n
