We are looking for an experienced and motivated
Automotive Parts Interpreter
to join our growing team.
About the Role n
As a Parts Interpreter at AAA Auto Parts, you will be responsible for helping customers identify and purchase the correct parts for their vehicles.
n
This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role where strong automotive knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently over the phone are essential.
n
You will work with customers, workshops, mechanics and trade clients to identify parts, prepare quotes, process orders and ensure customers receive the correct components as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Answer incoming phone, online and in-person parts enquiries
n
Accurately identify the correct automotive parts based on vehicle make, model, year, VIN and other vehicle information
n
Provide customers with pricing, availability and accurate quotations
n
Process sales and customer orders efficiently
n
Assist both retail and trade customers
n
Search inventory and stock systems to locate available parts
n
Provide alternative options when the exact part requested is unavailable
n
Follow up customer enquiries and outstanding quotes
n
Build strong relationships with regular trade customers, workshops and mechanics
n
Work closely with the warehouse, dismantling and delivery teams to ensure orders are prepared correctly
n




Coordinate pickup and delivery requirements
n
Maintain accurate customer, sales and inventory information within internal systems
n
Assist with stock identification and inventory management
n
Resolve customer enquiries and issues professionally
n
Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times
n
What We're Looking For n
We are looking for someone who knows cars, works quickly and can confidently deal with customers.
n
The ideal candidate will have:
n
n
Previous experience as an
Automotive Parts Interpreter
, Parts Salesperson, Automotive Dismantler, Mechanic or similar automotive role
n
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle components
n
Ability to accurately identify and match parts to different makes and models
n
Excellent phone manner and customer service skills
n
Strong sales and communication skills
n
Confidence dealing with both retail and trade customers
n
Good computer skills and ability to learn inventory and CRM systems
n
Experience using
Pinnacle or similar automotive inventory systems
is highly regarded
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
n
Good problem-solving skills
n
Ability to prioritise multiple enquiries and tasks
n
Reliable, organised and team focused
n
A positive attitude and willingness to get the job done
n
n
Experience within the used auto parts, automotive dismantling or wrecking industry will be highly regarded.
