Job Description
Join a national team of building professionals responsible for assessing residential insurance repairs across Australia.
As a National Desktop Assessor, you'll review property damage, assess repair scopes and costs, provide technical guidance, and support quality repair outcomes across our national repair network.
You'll collaborate closely with Assessors, Case Managers, Builders and Trade Partners while contributing to catastrophe response and complex claim assessments.
We're open to candidates located in Melbourne or Sydney with the flexibility of hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities
Assess residential property damage and determine appropriate repair solutions
Review repair scopes, estimates and technical reports
Conduct virtual assessments and provide technical guidance
Identify compliance, quality and repair risks
Support complex claims and catastrophe response activities
Collaborate with customers, trade partners and internal stakeholders
Ensure assessments are completed accurately and efficiently

About You
Trade qualified in building or construction
Experience supervising residential repairs or construction works
Strong understanding of residential building practices
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Highly Regarded:
Insurance repairs or property claims experience
Desktop assessing or estimating experience
Catastrophe response experience
Knowledge of insurance policy interpretation and PDSs
