Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer - Aviationto join our Brisbane Aviation team.
n
Working with major international and regional airport and aviation clients, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of aviation infrastructure projects while helping shape the future of airport environments across Australia.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to take on ownership of technical project delivery, collaborate with key aviation clients, further develop leadership skills, and play a key role, contributing to the continued growth of GHD's Aviation business.
n
Working with an energetic and high-performing team, you will:
n
n
Provide senior technical input and contribute to the successful delivery of aviation infrastructure projects.
n
Lead the planning, design and delivery of civil engineering packages, ensuring quality, safety and technical excellence.
n
Support, coach and mentor team members, helping to build capability and technical skills.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry networks and key stakeholders.
n
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, innovative and practical project outcomes.
n
Manage project tasks resources and budgets to achieve successful client and project outcomes.
n
Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, project pursuits,



and identifying opportunities with existing and recent clients.
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of GHD's aviation capability through knowledge sharing and technical leadership.
n
Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to support innovative solutions for our clients.
n
n
What you will bring to the team:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Minimum 8 years' experience within the aviation or airport engineering consulting sector.
n
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or actively working towards chartership.
n
Previous experience contributing to or leading the delivery of aviation infrastructure projects, including airside or landside facilities.
n
Familiarity with airport design standards, aviation regulations and stakeholder requirements.
n
n
Commercial awareness and an understanding of project delivery drivers.
n
n
Strong client relationship, stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
A collaborative approach and genuine willingness to mentor and support others.
n
A passion for delivering innovative solutions and shaping the future of aviation infrastructure.
n
Experience using civil engineering design software.
n
