The Prospect
n
We are seeking a part-time Station Manager to lead our small but passionate team. You will oversee day-to-day station operations, drive content strategy, support staff and volunteers, and ensure compliance with technical and licensing standards. This is a hands‐on role perfect for someone who lives and breathes community media and wants to uplift Indigenous voices.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Managing daily operations and broadcast quality
n
Supervising and mentoring staff and volunteers
n




Developing culturally relevant programming schedules
n
Handling budgeting, funding/grant applications, and sponsorships
n
Engaging with community stakeholders and promoting station initiatives
n
Leading strategic planning and technical oversight
n
Representing 4K1G at community events and board meetings
n
Has previous experience in radio or media but not essential. Training and support provided.
n
Understands Indigenous culture, values, and community needs
n
Is a natural leader with robust organizational and people skills
n
Can write funding submissions and manage budgets
n
Demonstrate strong communication and administration skills
n
Maintain a respectful and collaborative relationship with Board of Directors, ensuring station operations align with the Organizational strategic direction
n
Is passionate about community media and storytelling
n
