Opposite Lock Ipswich is looking for a skilled Accessory Fitter to join our growing workshop team. You'll be fitting and installing a wide range of premium 4x4 accessories and equipment, from bullbars to suspension upgrades to helping our customers get adventure-ready with confidence.

About the Role
n
As an Accessory Fitter, you'll be responsible for the professional installation of automotive accessories, towbars, and 4x4 equipment in line with Opposite Lock's quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
n
You'll work on a variety of vehicles and products from leading brands, using your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Fit and install a wide range of 4WD and vehicle accessories including:n
n
Towbars and wiring looms
n
Bullbars, side steps, and rear bars
n
Roof racks, winches, and recovery gear
n




Suspension upgrades and underbody protection
n
Electrical accessories such as driving lights and dual battery systems
n
n
Inspect vehicles before and after fitment to ensure top-quality workmanship
n
Read and interpret fitting instructions, wiring diagrams, and specifications
n
Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high safety and quality standards
n
Keep your work area clean, organised, and compliant with WHS policies
n
Communicate with customers and team members about job requirements and progress
n

What You'll Bring
n
Essential:
n
n
Proven experience in automotive accessory fitting, mechanical work, or similar trade
n
Confident using workshop tools, equipment, and electrical testing devices
n
Understanding of vehicle electrical systems and safe installation practices
n
High attention to detail and pride in your work
n
Strong teamwork and communication skills
n
Current driver's licence
n
Trade qualification not essential
n
4x4 industry experience or a personal passion for off-road vehicles
n
