About the Role
n
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team at La Piazza.
n
This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a key management role within a flagship, high-volume venue. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will lead from the front, inspire a large service team, and help drive operational excellence across restaurant and function operations.
n
You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of one of Sydney's most successful casual dining venues.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead, coach and motivate a large front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service every shift
n
Drive service excellence in a rapid-paced, high-volume restaurant and function environment
n
Oversee daily operations, ensuring presentation, service and compliance standards are consistently achieved
n
Manage the guest journey from reservations through to service delivery
n
Support rostering, labour management and operational efficiencies
n
Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar teams to deliver seamless service
n




Monitor performance and contribute to achieving revenue and operational targets
n
Foster a positive, high-performing team culture focused on accountability and development
n
Maintain strong standards across RSA, RCG, WHS and venue compliance requirements
n

About You
n
You are a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in busy, service-driven environments and enjoys managing large teams while delivering outstanding guest experiences.
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
2-3 years' experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role
n
Proven success leading teams in a high-volume restaurant, hospitality or premium casual dining environment
n
A strong floor presence with a hands-on leadership approach
n
Experience managing large guest numbers and multi-faceted service operations
n
Strong food and beverage knowledge, including bar operations
n
Demonstrated ability to train, coach and develop team members
n
Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
n
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
n
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
n
Current RSA & RCG (or willingness to obtain)
n
