Roc-Drill Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our team in QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the mining, drilling and blasting operations sector. As a Drill Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of drilling equipment that is essential to our operations. This role is based in Brisbane, QLD **** and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge drilling technology in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
n

Assembling and fitting drilling equipment components to precise specifications and technical standards
n
Performing routine maintenance and preventative servicing on drilling rigs and associated equipment
n
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic faults in drilling machinery
n
Conducting inspections of equipment to ensure all components are functioning safely and efficiently
n
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and maintenance manuals
n
Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work completed
n
Collaborating with drilling teams and site supervisors to minimise downtime and ensure operational continuity
n
Following all health, safety and environmental procedures and protocols on site
n
Identifying opportunities for equipment improvements and process optimisation
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Proven experience as a Drill Fitter or similar mechanical fitter role within the mining or drilling industry
n
Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, hydraulic systems and mechanical components
n
Competency in using hand tools, power tools and specialised drilling equipment maintenance tools
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
n
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to mining operations
n
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
n
Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging site conditions
n
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
n
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical fitting, hydraulics or drilling equipment maintenance (preferred)
n
Experience with drill and blast operations in open-cut or underground mining environments (preferred)
