Accountant – SMSF & Investments $90k–$130k
Intralink Wealth Management – North Sydney NSW
Move in-house from public practice – no timesheets, billable-hour targets or business development.
We're looking for an experienced accountant with a strong SMSF background who wants to use that knowledge in a broader in‐house role.
You'll still be working with SMSFs, tax and investment reporting, but without the usual practice pressures.
The role also has a solid focus on systems, data and improving the way we do things internally.
If you enjoy the technical side of accounting but are ready for something different from traditional practice life, this could be a good fit.
The role
You'll join our internal operations and reporting team and take responsibility for the accuracy and delivery of tax and investment reporting provided to our clients and their external accountants.
You'll work closely with our advisers, operations team, clients and external accounting firms, and you'll get exposure to a wide range of investment portfolios and structures.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Managing and reviewing annual investment tax reporting
Reviewing investment and tax data for accuracy and completeness
Working with external accountants to resolve reporting and tax queries
Coordinating and reviewing investment documentation
Applying your knowledge of SMSFs, trusts and companies when reviewing client structures

Working with Class and other accounting and investment systems
Investigating and resolving data or reporting discrepancies
Improving our internal accounting, tax‐reporting and documentation processes
Helping us make our systems, controls and reporting more efficient
This isn't a role where you'll just be processing the same work year after year.
There's plenty of scope to improve processes, solve problems and have a real say in how things are done.
About you
You'll ideally come from an SMSF or accounting practice background and have a solid understanding of SMSF accounting and taxation.
We'd like to hear from you if you have:
Experience preparing or reviewing SMSF financial statements and tax returns
A good understanding of SMSFs, trusts and companies
Experience using Class or BGL
Good knowledge of investment income, distributions, capital gains and tax reporting
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work through discrepancies
Confidence dealing with accountants and internal stakeholders
A CA or CPA qualification, or you're currently working towards one
Experience in wealth management, investment administration or portfolio accounting would be useful, but it isn't essential.
