We're looking for experienced HR Waste Truck Drivers to join our team in Rockingham!
This is a outstanding opportunity for an experienced HR Driver who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in providing a reliable service to the community and is comfortable working independently.
What's on Offer $46 per hour casual rate Saturday and Sunday penalty rates apply 9.5-hour days, generally 6:00am – 4:00pm Average 38 hours per week Monday – Saturday roster, with some Sundays as required Local government environment Ongoing opportunities for the right candidates About the Role You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of waste collection vehicles, completing residential waste collections and providing a professional service to the local community.
The role involves regular interaction with residents, so strong communication and customer service skills are important.
You will need to work safely, follow procedures and be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate waste collection vehicles Complete residential waste collection services Operate side-loader and/or rear-loader waste trucks Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues Follow council procedures, safety requirements and traffic regulations Interact professionally with members of the public Resolve routine issues using sound judgement Complete required documentation and records Work effectively as part of a team About You Current HR Driver's Licence – essential Previous experience operating waste collection vehicles Side-loader and rear-loader experience desirable Strong written and verbal communication skills Good problem-solving abilities Strong customer service skills Commitment to workplace health and safety Current National Police Clearance Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening If you are an experienced HR Driver with waste collection experience and are looking for an opportunity within local government, we would love to hear from you!
