About the role The Occupational Therapist – The Occupational Therapist supports NDIS participants to optimise independence and function within their personal, family, and community roles.
The role fosters self-determination by supporting participant choice and control over service delivery and works in partnership with service users, families, and key stakeholders to enable progress toward participants' NDIS goals.
The Graduate Occupational Therapist - will support clients to optimise independence and function within their personal, family and community roles – with supervision and support form clinical supervisors and managers.
Wherever possible, the Graduate Occupational Therapist will foster self-determination of clients and community by facilitating choice and control over service delivery.
The Graduate Occupational Therapist will work across the various primary health programs in the organisation; including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and Chronic Conditions, among others.




This position is primarily based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs); occasional remote travel may be required.
The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with relevant clinical experience.
Experience working in a community based occupational therapy service within a multidisciplinary team, including working with a broad range of clients from varying socioeconomic backgrounds with a wide range of functional impairments.
Flexible and creative approach to providing occupational therapy services that is responsive to the needs of the community.
Ability to partner with service users, including them in goal setting, care planning and care co-ordination to identify priorities.
Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
Current NT Driver Licence or equivalent or the ability to obtain.
