Focus is on solid, standards-compliant implementation rather than architectural leadership.
The scope of APIs to be exposed is generally defined; the candidate is expected to implement to specification.
Key Responsibilities ● Design and implement APIs on the APIGee platform in line with Optus's internal API standards and TM Forum (TMF) standards.
● Support productization of deliverables ● Work within API standards defined (e.g. TMF Open APIs, CAMARA), implementing to agreed specifications rather than defining new architecture.
● Collaborate with the broader platform teams (including the OpenShift migration workstream) as needed.
Required Skills Experience ● Development experience with API design and implementation (REST/similar), including exposure to TM Forum (TMF) Open API standards and CAMARA ● DevOps/CI-CD familiarity to support build and deployment of API services.




● Working knowledge of platform environments such as Kubernetes/OpenShift is beneficial ● Ability to work to defined API/architecture standards and specifications with moderate guidance.
● Telecom/OSS domain exposure is a plus but not mandatory.
Requirements Senior level resource capable of producing and executing an OCM strategy Solid English communication in both spoken and written skill set.
Active stakeholder engagement required both in Australia and the US.
Maximize meetings during office hours, but some meetings with stakeholders may occur outside of office hours Identifying potential risks and obstacles to change and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication during change implementation.
Provide training and development material to support end users prior to and after transition In conjunction with the technical team, deliver FAQ's, QRG's, process documentation and other required documentation to ensure successful transition to operations Experience with large scale multi-national IT infrastructure projects highly desired
