One base: autism-specific preschool with dedicated therapy rooms, minimal travel Salary Packaging to save on tax | 5 billable hours per day Part-Time Role, prefer Tue/Wed/Thur | $45-$*****/hr Be Recruitment has partnered with SDN, a long established not-for-profit provider, to find their next Speech Pathologist at SDN Beranga, Rooty Hill.
This is a permanent part-time role, three days a week (Tue/Wed/Thu preferred), inside an autism-specific preschool with dedicated therapy rooms.
It suits an experienced clinician who wants one base instead of the car, and who wants to specialise in children with autism.
The structure: One base: an autism-specific preschool with dedicated therapy rooms on site.
Around 5 billable hours a day, with documentation and team time inside the paid week.
Transdisciplinary team: OTs, behaviour support practitioners and educators in the same building, therapy embedded in preschool routines.
Paid external clinical supervision every month, your choice of provider, plus regular internal supervision.
$*****-$***** per hour plus super (approximately $88,000-$101,500 full time equivalent), with NFP salary packaging up to $15,900.
The opportunity You will deliver family-centred speech pathology to children aged 0-16 with developmental delay or disability, with a strong early intervention focus.
Approximately 65% of the week is direct work with children and families; the remainder is assessment, planning, reporting, documentation and collaboration.
Therapy happens within the natural routines of the preschool day, in the therapy rooms with families, and alongside a transdisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities Deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention for speech, language and functional communication Provide strengths-based, family-centred and play-based intervention Embed communication support into everyday preschool routines and natural settings Coach parents, carers and educators to build capacity around the child Work collaboratively with children and families to set meaningful goals Contribute to transdisciplinary case discussions and service development Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical documentation and reports Support children's communication and participation at home, in education and in the community About you Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology, eligibility for SPA membership.
Prefer at least 2 years of experience with children with developmental delay or disability, across early intervention, disability, community health or another paediatric setting.
(doesn't all have to be post-qualification though)
Experience or genuine interest in coaching and capacity-building approaches with families,
including culturally diverse families Working knowledge of the NDIS environment Strong clinical documentation and report-writing skills Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check Driver's licence with access to a vehicle preferred The role is primarily based at SDN Beranga, Rooty Hill, with minimal travel.
