- | - || Occupational group | Administration || Workplace Location | Brisbane Inner City,Brisbane - South |**About the Role**In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the *Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework* and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:* Greeting patients and their families and responding to their needs* Providing a qualified telephone service* Providing directions and advice regarding locations of services/and/or patients within the facilityProvide an efficient and professional administrative support, which includes:* To provide excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, maintain the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with parents, patients, members of the public and departmental staff both in person and over the telephone.* Undertaking administrative tasks to support patient flow, patient care and movements within the facility* Liaising with various departments with regards to resources required* Maintaining data integrity by checking all data in the patient information and billing systems and modifying/updating to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.* Maintain and provide support in accordance with policies and procedures for both medical and administrative records* Proficiently complete functions associated with the wait listing of patients, bookings for appointments, managing appointment cancellations,
rescheduling and removals from the waiting list using the relevant information systems in a timely manner.* Prioritise workload effectively and perform duties responsibly in the absence of supervision* Manage and undertake specific administration duties as directed* Demonstrate high work ethics, the ability to work autonomously and a high level of pride in your work.* Adhere to relevant Queensland Health policies, standards and relevant legislative requirements, providing feedback on recommendations for improvements to Line Manager**About Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS)**Children's Health Queensland is a recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, teaching and research, delivering a full range of clinical services and training, tertiary and quaternary care and health promotion programs to children and young people from across Queensland and northern New South Wales.
