Head of People Culture | 9-12 Month Contract Lead a national People Culture function supporting major civil infrastructure projects across Australia.
We're partnering with a leading civil contractor to appoint an experienced Head of People Culture for a parental leave contract.
Reporting to the executive team, you'll lead a national function across HR, Talent Acquisition, Mobilisation and ER/IR while partnering closely with operational leaders to support workforce growth, organisational performance and people strategy.
Stepping into an established and highly capable People Culture function, you'll provide leadership, continuity and support during a key period for the business while maintaining momentum across people initiatives nationally.
About the Role Lead a national People Culture team across HR, Talent Acquisition, Mobilisation and ER/IR Partner with executive and operational leaders across a geographically dispersed workforce Provide strategic and operational guidance on people, culture and workforce matters Oversee employee and industrial relations activity, including enterprise bargaining Lead attraction, retention and workforce planning initiatives to support a growing national workforce Support leadership capability and organisational development priorities Ensure effective HR service delivery across corporate and project operations Foster a high-performing and collaborative team workplace About You: Proven experience in a Head of People Culture,



HR Manager or senior HR leadership role Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related discipline Strong generalist HR capability across the full employee lifecycle Demonstrated experience managing complex ER/IR matters and enterprise bargaining Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements Experience leading and developing HR teams Confidence partnering with and influencing operational and executive leaders Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach Previous experience within the civil construction industry is essential Ability to travel nationally as required Available to commence in mid-October **** Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia with no sponsorship requirements What's on Offer: 9-12 month parental leave contract Perth or Maroochydore location National leadership responsibility across a geographically dispersed workforce Established and high-performing team Broad remit spanning HR, Talent Acquisition, Mobilisation and ER/IR Opportunity to join a respected organisation delivering complex civil and infrastructure projects across Australia If you're a practical and commercially minded people leader who enjoys partnering with operations, leading capable teams and driving people outcomes in a fast-paced civil construction environment, we'd love to hear from you.
