St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding **** students in ****.
The College is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.
As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).
St Francis was founded in **** and offers new, state-of-the-art learning specialist teaching facilities.
A temporary full time parental leave replacement position commencing 28 January **** until 26 January ****.
The successful applicant will be required to teach TAS and Hospitality up to Stage 6.
The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
Create and maintain an orderly, secure, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS and Hospitality.
Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA: The ability to teach Design Technology.
GENERAL CAPABILITIES Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
Level B Accreditation by To Work, Teach, and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
