All G Auto Service Pty Ltd T/A Sebring Mechanical is a growing general mechanical workshop looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.
We work on a wide range of light vehicles, 4x4s and commercial vehicles , carrying out general servicing, diagnostics, repairs and major mechanical work.
the role The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, including modern electronically controlled vehicles and 4x4s.
Duties will include: General servicing and maintenance Logbook servicing Vehicle inspections and mechanical assessments Computer diagnostics and fault finding Engine repairs and component replacement Timing belt and timing chain replacement Brake, steering and suspension repairs Clutch and transmission repairs Cooling system repairs Fuel and diesel system repairs Electrical and electronic fault diagnosis 4x4 servicing and repairs Air conditioning diagnosis and repairs where qualified Pre-purchase and mechanical inspections Road testing and verification of repairs Accurate completion of job cards and repair documentation Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions,



steering mechanisms and other components; Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts; Resembling mechanical components; Carrying out scheduled maintenance for compliance with pollution regulations; Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair; Inspecting vehicles and issuing roadworthiness certificates or detailing work required to achieve roadworthiness; and Responding to breakdown service calls, if applicable.
skills and experience The ideal candidate will have: Fluent in English Relevant automotive trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or equivalent recognised trade qualification At least one year of experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working on modern light vehicles Experience with 4x4 vehicles highly regarded Ability to use automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment Ability to carry out mechanical repairs independently Good understanding of vehicle systems and repair procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Current Australian driver's licence or ability to obtain one A qualified attitude and good communication skills what we offer Full-time permanent position Competitive salary based on qualifications, skills and experience Stable employment in an established general mechanical workshop Variety of vehicles and mechanical work Modern diagnostic equipment and workshop facilities Supportive and professional working environment Opportunities to further develop diagnostic and mechanical skills Employment type: Full-time Location: Queensland To apply, please submit your resume outlining your qualifications, automotive experience and relevant skills.
