Location: Brisbane City, QLD Remote: Hybrid Type: Contract Job #***** About the role We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join a major ICT transformation programme supporting significant child safeguarding reform in Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, high-profile ICT programme involving the establishment of new technology capabilities and the delivery of a centralised intelligence hub and case management system.
Key responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive schedule management plan, including schedule quality standards and processes for developing and maintaining schedules.
Work closely with Project Managers to develop and maintain project and programme schedules, including key milestones and critical paths.
Liaise regularly with project and programme managers, business analysts, technical resources, vendors and external government agencies to develop and maintain schedules.
Identify and manage dependencies across projects and programme workstreams.
Evaluate project and programme schedules, progress and performance, identifying emerging risks and issues.
Monitor schedule performance and appropriately escalate schedule concerns to programme leadership.
Develop and maintain dependency registers across the Enterprise Delivery Portfolio.
Assess and improve schedules in alignment with the DCMA 14-point schedule assessment framework.
Provide accurate and timely schedule reporting to support programme governance and decision-making.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across a complex and highly governed ICT environment.
Highly desirable criteria Demonstrated experience as a Master Scheduler, Programme Scheduler or Senior Project Scheduler within a large and complex organisation.




Robust experience using Microsoft Project Professional to develop and manage project and programme schedules.
Proven experience developing schedules within PRINCE2, Agile and/or Hybrid delivery environments.
Experience managing complex inter-project dependencies and critical paths.
Strong understanding of schedule governance, controls and performance monitoring.
Experience working within large government, public sector or similarly highly governed environments.
Desirable criteria Experience applying the DCMA 14-point schedule assessment methodology.
Experience supporting large-scale ICT transformation programmes.
Experience working across multiple concurrent projects and delivery streams.
Strong understanding of programme-level reporting, governance and risk management.
Experience working with government agencies, vendors and diverse stakeholder groups.
Skills and experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify schedule risks and dependencies.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate people, resources and projects by analysing data and determining the appropriate timing and sequence of activities.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to schedule accuracy and quality.
Ability to operate effectively in a complex, collaborative and fast-paced programme environment.
