Electrical Maintenance Technician Job ID **** Type Full time Location Cavan, SA Positions 1 Apply Electrical Maintenance Technician The Opportunity On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team at their Cavan site in Adelaide .
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be safety-orientated and responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, repair and optimisation of electrical and control systems that are critical to steel processing and heavy industrial operations.
This is a hands-on role working across large-scale equipment, automation systems, drives, conveyors and plant machinery, ensuring reliability, safety and operational efficiency in a high-performance, safety-conscious environment.
Job Details The role is open to Australian or New Zealand citizens only .
Hours are suited to work/life balance, generally running from 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday, with overtime available and paid at overtime rates.

Pay rate ranging from $***** to $***** per hour , plus 15% afternoon shift loading, 12% superannuation, bonus and overtime, with potential to grow income as experience develops.
Duties include: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across heavy industrial plant Carry out equipment audits, machine installs and preventative maintenance tasks Troubleshoot PLC systems and assist in programming, with training provided if required Identify operational improvements through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with mechanical tasks where required, including belt tracking,



lubrication, bearings, chains, motors and gearboxes Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with site standards About You The successful candidate will bring strong industrial maintenance experience, technical capability and a commitment to protected, high-quality workmanship.
You will be self-motivated, team-oriented and confident working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and automation systems in a heavy industrial environment.
You will bring: Unrestricted Electrical Licence in South Australia Certificate III Electrotechnology or higher Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving Strong understanding of industrial controls, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and automation systems Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics Mechanical aptitude, with experience working alongside pneumatic and mechanical systems Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement Advantageous and Highly Regarded: Licences / Tickets: EWP, High Risk Work Licence, Forklift Licence, current CPR/LVR Experience with PLC programming, hydraulics and proportional valves, MAINPAC or other CMMS platforms, and Microsoft Office/report writing Rewards and Benefits A progressive pay structure, consistent overtime available, permanent full-time hours with job security, and a strong team environment with a safety-first culture.
